Disputing a Deposit Charge

Contact the owner, complete the claim form with evidence, and email deposit@roofwander.com. Roofwander reviews both sides and decides.

Start with the owner

If you disagree with a damage or deposit issue, contact the owner right away and try to resolve it together.

The owner has 2 days after the rental ends to submit a deposit claim. If a claim is filed, the deposit is held until Roofwander finishes the review.

Submit or respond with evidence

You and the owner should use the Security Deposit Claim Form.

Email it to deposit@roofwander.com with subject Deposit Claim – [Order ID], and attach:

  • Clear, date-stamped photos or video
  • Receipts, quotes, or invoices if relevant
  • A short description of what happened

We will call you after receiving the email.

How Roofwander decides

Disputes are reviewed manually by Roofwander. Decisions are based on the evidence from both sides and are made at Roofwander’s sole discretion.

Possible outcomes:

  • Approve the claim (amount deducted from the deposit)
  • Partially approve
  • Decline the claim

Any deposit amount that is not approved is refunded to you.

If the owner withdraws the claim

If the owner withdraws the claim by emailing deposit@roofwander.com, the deposit is refunded to you in full.
