Damage Costs More Than the Deposit
The deposit helps cover damage. Above that, the renter may still be liable under private-individual law; personal liability insurance may apply. Roofwander is only an intermediary.
What the deposit covers
The security deposit helps cover potential damage during the rental.
If costs exceed the deposit
If the damage costs more than the deposit, the renter may still be responsible for the remaining amount under the applicable laws between private individuals.
Depending on the country and the renter’s insurance policy, their personal liability insurance may cover the damage.
Roofwander’s role
Roofwander can provide proof of the rental if needed, but is not responsible for damages and only acts as an intermediary between the renter and the owner.
We are looking to offer insurance services in the future. Volume is still low today, and we are doing our best to provide the best experience we can.
