1. Find the Right Setup
You want a rooftop tent and have a vehicle with roof bars—or can rent them. You explore nearby listings, read detailed descriptions (some include roof bars), and compare options to find the perfect setup for your journey.
2. Choose Dates and Inquire
You choose your dates and send an inquiry with a message. You’ll see the full invoice upfront—including the total cost and deposit—but don’t worry, no payment is charged yet.
3. Chat and Get Approved
The owner gets your inquiry and can message you directly. Once you’ve both chatted and everything feels right, the owner can approve (or decline) the booking.
4. Confirm and Pay
Once the owner accepts, your payment is charged securely. The booking is locked in—time to start planning your adventure.
5. Meet and Install
On the day your rental starts, you meet the owner at the agreed spot. Together, you’ll mount the tent onto your vehicle—quick, easy, and ready to roll.
6. Return and Wrap Up
When the trip’s over, you return the tent to the owner. Together, you check everything over. If all’s good—done! If not, you can chat through the platform to sort it out.
How payments works
To rent a rooftop tent, payments are processed securely through our system once a booking is accepted. After the trip ends, payouts and deposit refunds are released 2 days later and arrive within 2–7 business days. > Payment & Pricing Guide for rentals > Security Deposit Guide
