For Renters

Check the compatibility info in each listing. In general, rooftop tents fit most cars as long as you have suitable roof bars and your vehicle meets the required roofload capacity. If unsure, message the owner before booking.

At minimum: mattress and ladder. Some owners offer extras (kitchen kits, awnings,bedding, etc.) as paid variations. What’s included is clearly listed in the description.

Usually yes. Mounting is simple, and most owners assist at handover. If you already know the model and mounting system, you may handle it yourself with the owner’s OK.

You’re responsible for damage during your rental. The owner can claim part or all of the deposit to cover repair costs. If costs exceed the deposit, you may need to cover the remainder. Fill the damage claim with the owner and send it to deposit@roofwander.com.

The deposit is charged at booking and automatically refunded 2–7 days after the rental if no issues are reported. If there’s damage, you and the owner complete the damage claim and send it to

Minimum is 3 days (2 nights). Some owners may prefer longer rentals and can decline short requests. There’s no maximum limit, and the daily price gradually decreases after 5 days. For very long rentals, you can also contact the owner to ask for a lower daily rate.

For Owners

Fill out the damage claim and email it to deposit@roofwander.com. If damage is under €400, it’s deducted from the renter’s deposit. Above €400, it may take longer, but the renter is responsible per our Terms and Conditions. We handle the process and follow up with both parties.

Yes. Anyone can inquire, but you decide to accept or decline. Renters are ID-verified before renting for security.

Email cancelationsupport@roofwander.com with a short explanation. The first cancellation is penalty-free; repeated cancellations may reduce listing visibility or lead to suspension. If you cancel within 24 hours of accepting, no penalty applies.

Connect your bank via Stripe when creating your first listing. After a completed rental, payouts are sent automatically within 2–7 business days.

Yes. Update your listing calendar anytime. Keeping availability current improves renter experience and reduces irrelevant messages.

Yes. Use +Add a variation in pricing to offer setups (e.g., kitchen kit, shower, awning) at different prices. Clearly describe what each variation includes.
